ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

The Central Europe Gamedev & E-Careers Festival is a two-day event taking place on the 6th and 7th of June 2024 at the International Congress Centre in Katowice, Poland. The needs and expectations of the labour market in the field of creative sectors – gaming, gamedev and e-sports, prompted the organisers to create an event at the intersection of education, entertainment and economic development.

CEGEF is a festival where you can learn how to develop a career in the creative industries, with a special focus on gamedev, gaming and esports. For our speakers, multimedia, design, computer graphics, sound direction as well as soft skills management and HR have no secrets.

The last few years have been a testimony to the importance of the tools of the digital world in the context of economic development. That’s why, as every year, our aim is to create a space for the exchange of experiences and the facilitation of access to unique knowledge. We are convinced that this will allow us to respond in a better way to the dynamic changes in the labour market.

A NEW DIMENSION IN SCHOOL AND ACADEMIC ESPORTS

Finals of the largest nationwide school and academic esports competitions.

Esport is not only a passion, but also a way to develop social skills, teamwork and strong bonds between players. It is also an excellent educational tool, teaching both victory and defeat and working on one’s own weaknesses.

During the festival, we will showcase all aspects of the broadly understood creative industries, the opportunities they offer, and the dangers of not adhering to cybersecurity principles. Lectures on „Attention Smartphone,” discussion panels on the main CEGEF stage, and esports competitions are just some of the attractions we have prepared.
